Meta Expands Revenue Opportunities for Content Creators
Social media giant Meta has expanded the revenue opportunities for content creators on its platforms. In a newly announced content monetization program, creators will now be able to earn money from various types of content through a single platform.
According to a recent statement on Meta's website, the new update integrates in-stream ads, Reels ads, and performance bonuses into one unified platform. This will enable content creators to generate income not only from Reels and short videos but also from long-form videos, photos, and text posts.
In addition, the program introduces a new "performance bonus" system, designed to reward creators based on the engagement and reach of their content.
This new monetization initiative is expected to be fully launched in 2025. However, it is currently available in beta for select Facebook users, with a full rollout planned for next year.
